Emails That Uplifted Me

This past spring when Pioneer Bible Translators(PBT) came to "recruit" at ACU, it sounded interesting so I signed up for their mailing list. the following emails I got a few days ago; the first one i got July 1, and the second one I got today, July 8. these emails meant a lot to me, because it reminded me that God does watch out for us and He never forgets about us. Sometimes He works through others to remind us of that, and I feel that He worked through these people at PBT to remind me that He hasn't forgotten about me, and also, I need prayers! the second one also meant a lot to me because its a small sign that God wants me to go to China.

Hi Mildred!

I hope this message finds you well. As you may know, the Pioneer Bible Translators family tries to be faithful to those God has put in our path by lifting them up in prayer. Next Thursday, Nathan and the rest of our team would like to pray for you!  We would love to hear how things are going and how we can intercede for you.

Is there anything in your life that we can specifically lift up to the Father?

Thanks in advance!
Tye Parks, PBT Recruitment Team

Hello Mildred,

I just wanted to let you know that we uplifted you before the Father today.  It is simply a joy to hear how you are stepping out in faith to teach English in China after you graduate.  I know this kind of faith is honoring to our God.  In addition to praying for this trip, we also asked the Father to provide for your financial needs and that He will prepare you emotionally and spiritually for all that you encounter.

On a side note, your e-mail was a blessing to me.  I’m not sure what God is doing with all of this but you are the 4th person that I have talked to this week about China.  Just as an observer, I see God doing amazing things in that country.  Thank you for your faithfulness.

If we can be a source of prayer in the future, please do not hesitate to ask.  In addition, if after your trip to China you have a desire to go back there to minister through helping people come to know God’s Word (either in teaching, Bible translation, literacy, etc) we would love to investigate those possibilities with you.

Blessings

Nathan Davenport
